My YouTube Journey: From 17 to 500+ Subscribers in 15 Days

One of my goals through this blog, my youtube channel, etsy shops, etc… is to create passive income. It takes time and one of the biggest challenges is meeting youtube requirements to making some passive income there. The requirements to get into their ad revenue program is at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours watched (of longer videos than 1 minute, short videos don’t count towards hours) within a year or 10million views of shorts watched within 90 days. This picture is where I’m currently at and I feel so close and yet so far because it does take time and a good amount of viewers to get to these parameters achieved.

I’m going to share a personal milestone in my journey of creating and sharing content online. Even though I’ve surpassed the amount the video shares (since it is an older video I created), I feel very proud of how much growth I have made when I created this video. In just 15 days, I went from a humble 17 subscribers to over 500! This rapid growth has been both exhilarating and humbling, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.

The Beginning of My YouTube Adventure

Starting a YouTube channel was a dream I had been nurturing for a long time. I wanted to share my passion for making delicious food recipes, engaging craft projects, and other lifestyle type videos hoping to inspire others to create and learn at home. With a leap of faith, I posted my first video, unsure of what to expect.

The Breakthrough: From 17 to 500+ Subscribers

To my surprise and delight, the channel started gaining traction quickly. Here’s the behind-the-scenes story of how I achieved this milestone:

  1. Creating Content that Resonates: My focus was on making mouthwatering food recipes and exciting craft videos. These topics seemed to resonate well with viewers who were looking for fun and practical ideas to try at home.
  2. Engaging with the Community: I made it a point to respond to comments and engage with my audience, which helped build a sense of community around the channel.
  3. Promotion and Sharing: I shared my videos across social media platforms and encouraged friends and family to support my channel by subscribing and sharing my content.
